Kids Buttercream Skills Class, Level 1

$40 per student, ages 8-14
Supplies not included (icing will be provided)
Class size is limited to 4 students, to maximize one-on-one attention.
Students will learn all of the very basics for beginning cake decorating. They will learn to level, fill and stack cake layers, ice a cake smooth, color their icing, trim and fill piping bags, pipe shell and star borders, and write on a cake.
**STUDENTS MUST BRING:
Two 6" cake layers (no larger, please)
One 6" round, white cake board
One 8" round wraparound or scalloped board (any color)
Box or container to take home completed cake
Icing smoother or bowl scraper, at least 5" tall with one straight side
9" palette knife
Two or more gel food coloring of your choice (no liquid drops, please)
Two or more 12" piping bags
Two or more standard couplers
Piping tips: #3 round, #21 shell/star
2 ounces of sprinkles of your choice (optional)
Long, serrated knife (at least 8" blade)
Paper towels/wet wipes for cleaning up
3 bowls and spoons for mixing icing colors
Plastic bags to take home dirty items
We will provide 4.5lbs of Light and Fluffy icing for each student.
We have a display of required tools in the store to help you shop for what you need! Also, our sales associates are happy to help you find everything on your supply list.
Parent/guardian must remain present at the store for the duration of class.
Children under the age of 8 will not be allowed in the class area during class. Classes are not refundable, and fees cannot be applied to a class at a later date.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule classes due to low attendance. In the event a class is canceled or rescheduled, the parent will be notified by email or phone, and fees will be refunded in full.
