Monday, May 6th, 3-5 pm: In this demonstration session, students will learn all the basics they need to bake sturdy cake layers and make scratch buttercream to fully prepare them for success in sessions 2 & 3. Students do not need to bring any supplies to this first session, and they will receive detailed notes, instructions, recipes, and tips. At the end of class, we will cut and serve the demonstration cake! Let's party!!

Monday, May 13th, 3-5 pm: In this hands-on session, students will level, fill, crumb coat, ice and smooth, and decorate their own cakes right along with the instructor, receiving hands-on help every step of the way!
Students must bring: two 8" cake layers, at least 6 cups stiff decorator's icing, long serrated knife or cake leveler, turntable, one 8" plain cake board, one 10" plain cake board, 10" or larger cake drum or wraparound board, box to take home cake at least 10" square (or however big your cake drum/wraparound is) x 5" tall, large offset spatula (8" or longer blade), small offset spatula (4" blade), icing smoother at least 5" tall, fondant smoother, two 12" piping bags, one 10" piping bag, 3 standard couplers, Ateco or Wilton tips # 3, #21, #352, and Wilton tip #2D or Ateco equivalent, and scissors.

Monday, May 20th, 3-5 pm: In this hands-on session, students will learn and practice various cake decorating techniques, including a variety of borders, scrollwork, writing/printing, stenciling, and more! They will then use their new skills to decorate their cakes as desired with hands-on help from the instructor every step of the way!
Students must bring: fully iced and ready-to-decorate layer cake, at least 3 cups stiff decorator icing, turntable, gel food colors of your choice, small offset spatula, five 12" piping bags, two 10" piping bags, 5 standard couplers, Ateco or Wilton piping tips: round #3, round #10, star #21, rose #104, leaf #352, multi-opening #133 (Ateco) OR multi-opening #233 (Wilton), Wilton closed star #2D or Ateco equivalent, and scissors. 

* Please note that there will not be room in class for additional guests or children.

Class fees are nonrefundable 24 hours after online purchase, and are not transferable to a class at a later date. However, if you must miss class, you are welcome to offer your seat to a friend!
